Weapons technology involves further development of existing weapons systems. Particular value is placed on providing more energy to existing systems and channelling that energy more precisely. Thus weapons systems become more efficient and weapons do more damage.

Each level of weapons technology increases the weapon strength of both ships and defense (not shield domes) by 10 % of the base value. Weapons technology should be updated as fleet size grows. Simply compare the gain in weapon strength added by upgrading weapons tech to the cost of building more ships and pick whichever is cheaper.

Weapons tech is less important for Deathstar fleets due to the relatively low rapid fire and high weapon strength per cost of Deathstars.
