Re: Activity and admin duties Edit

I'm not active on any wikis any more, I'm afraid. I don't even recall how I got admin rights on this one! If you need a bureaucrat and none are active, your best bet would probably be to contact someone like, perhaps, Sannse, and ask her for admin rights. In the meantime, if you have anything specific you need doing that needs admin tools, I'll see if I can help out. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 14:22, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

...That's actually quite surprising; I didn't know I was a bureaucrat here. Okay...Well, as I said, I'll help out with my admin tools if needed. Presumably, this will just be deleting obsolete articles and images, right? I've come back to do that once or twice before. I'll give you admin rights a little later if you still feel you need them; today is only your first day here, after all, according to your contribs. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 14:45, June 26, 2010 (UTC)
Sure thing; just add them to Category:Pages needing deletion with the {{delete}} template. I deleted three of the pages on there, but I left one remaining; it looks like it's merely a bad article that needs cleanup, rather than one that shouldn't exist at all. Of course, I don't know much about OGame, so maybe I'm wrong. Let me know if you think it needs deleting; if it doesn't, just remove the template so it doesn't stay in the category. Central discussion and de-adminship Edit

Just some items for thought, from what I saw on your userpage.

  1. The two wikis I worked on previously managed to conduct community business fairly well by using the forums. This wiki, obviously, has none, but if you want to start up a community, I'd recommend it. I can add it to the sidebar if it ever gets used.
  2. I don't think inactive admins are generally stripped of their privelages without good reason (hence why I'm still a bureaucrat across three wikis, despite no edits for years). It's mostly a waste of time. What harm is an inactive account going to do?

I'm here only to advise, not to tell you what to do. Just something to think about. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 15:19, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
