How does one know if they are being spied on? Will that always been shown, or are espionage probes completely hidden?

2 things happen. 1 - you see a message about a "foreign fleet" being sighted near one of your planets and 2 - while the probe is on its way you will see a red box warning of an attacking fleet whenever you refresh the overview screen. Fat man 03:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

It appears that you can get information on resources when the number of probes is less than the difference in tech squared when you have lower tech 82.47.220.6 12:18, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

No matter what your respective espionage tech levels or how many probes you send, you will always see at least their resources. You never get an empty espionage report. You can also tell if there is some sort of fleet in orbit as you only get 0% chance of counterespionage when there are no ships present. BobMem 12:53, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Defense can also cause more than 0% chance of counterespionage, so it could mean ships or defense. Br4indead 15:55, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
