The Combustion Drive is a technology that allows the construction of small and large cargo ships, Light Fighters, Recyclers, and Espionage Probes. Upgrading the combustion engine increases the speed of these ships by 10% of the base speed every time.
After upgrading to level 5 of the Impulse Drive, the base speed of small cargo ships doubles, and they proceed to use the impulse engine instead for speed upgrades.
