Battlecruiser

The Battlecruiser is the newest ship in OGame. Code named the Interceptor, and then temporarily named the Dreadnought, the ship's main use is to effectively take on enemy fleets. The Battlecruiser is the mean between the Battleship and the Destroyer.
The Battlecruiser is highly specialized in the interception of hostile fleets. This ship, a technologic filigree, is deadly when it comes to destroying attacking fleets. With its improved laser cannons, it holds a privileged position among the heavy ships, where it can take down several of them in no time. Due to its small design and its enormous weaponry, the load cargo is minimal, but this is compensated with the low fuel consumption of the built-in hyperspace engine.

Evaluation
Uses and Advantages
Battlecruisers have a Rapid Fire of 7 against the Battle Ship and 4 against the Heavy Fighter and Cruiser to go along with 3 for the Small Cargo and Large Cargo ships. In general, this ship can take on Battleships with a 2:1 ratio and come out victorious. This makes it an important asset when dealing with heavy concentrations of Heavy Fighters and Battle Ships in an opposing fleet (ex. 150 Battle Ships vs. 75 Battlecruisers-> Battlecruisers win).
Shortcomings
The Battlecruiser is fairly new, therefore its effectiveness has yet to be put to the test. Its lack of Rapid Fire against Light Fighter may leave it vulnerable to fleets with that component. Countering this with Cruisers minimizes this weakness.
